ABSTRACT
This paper proposes a theoretical model using Data
Envelopment Analysis (DEA) for evaluating the performance of Business Schools. The
aim of the paper is to highlight the usefulness and equity of DEA in evaluating
performance of non-profit making organisations in general and in university
performance in particular. It is hoped that the paper can stimulate debate in
the use of DEA as a performance measure in universities and the possible use of
DEA in performance linked funding by policy makers
